PA-26HD
PCOCC digital cable for Pro Tools HD™
PA-26HD is the special cable for Digidesign Pro Tools HD™ which Is the de facto standard of modern music production. It is developed emphasizing on electric property. In addition to the technology and reliability of data transmission cable that Oyaide has experienced by developing FireWire and USB, we applied accumulated technical know-how of multi-cable by developing PA-08 series.
For usability in the studio and accuracy of monitoring, PA-26HD aimed at attenuating electric signal and data loss by efficiently protecting from electro-magnetic wave generated by PC and considering electric conductivity and permittivity which affect the sound quality.
●Selected material
For its conductor, we employed PCOCC pure copper material which has no grain boundary on the signal path. And the conductor diameter is set to AWG26 which is thicker than regular products for controlling conductor resistance.
●Insulator
For attenuating signal loss by insulator, we employed Teflon which has the lowest electric permittivity in the insulators made of resin. In addition, Teflon actualizes really short transmission latency for high speed data transmission.
●Noise protection
In order to prevent noise contamination due to electro-magnetic wave generated by computers, it has double shielding structure by tin plated braided shield with 85% braided rate and aluminum mylar. And its twist-pair cable structure makes noise influence minimum. For its outer sheath, we employed TPE (olefin elastomer) sheath which has flexibility and rigidity same as rubber which actualizes smooth cable operation.
