we decided to definitely adopt them for our Live shows

“I was first aware of the Oyaide cables through Carl Craig, i always pay attention to what equipment he uses as i think he always is on the forefront. I learned a lot through watching him or asking him about new tools, and interesting Dj / Live devices. I remember noticing those interesting looking and colorful cables, and he was the first person to tell me to pay attention to USB cables, that they were not all “standard” and/or “identical”.

A bit late i also found out about Oyaide audio cables, after getting the opportunity to test them, we decided to definitely adopt them for our Live shows (with Romon Poncet as Adventice & Sergie Rezza) and Dj performances.
A lot of people are attracted by their unique look and colors at first and ask us what they are and why we specifically choose them.
Also now it seems that a lot of sound engineers in clubs or venues, festivals, are happy to see us open our boxes with them, as they are so renowned for their unique quality.”

“Sharing with the audience what I think are the greatest records of the moment or what I think are timeless classics is something that has motivated me through the years. I’m always trying to present to people a little bit of the history, as I tend to play very personal “classics”…not just hits from the past but very unique records that in my mind represent the essence of what is magic in house and techno.

I see my job as being a big filter: as a vinyl junkie, I am in the record stores chasing jams almost everyday, and I am also following movements in what I hear such as when techno was revolutionary or when the NY deep house sound really expanded, that was what I would showcase. Now that a lot of techno and house roots are being revived, I’m back to my roots, playing a lot of brand new amazing techno and house records.“

Twenty years in, from house to techno and everything in between, DJ Deep has immersed himself in the ebbs and flows of music, be it NY, Chicago, Detroit or today’s current exciting waves. He captures the magic of each as a leading figure of the Parisian scene, connecting the dots both forward and back with his own personal and multidimensional touch. DJ Deep first got his break when he was invited by Laurent Garnier to DJ at parties such as Oz and Zoo at club Palace, or Boy, in his hometown Paris. Followed by regular appearances at the influential Rex Club, radio shows ‘A Deep Groove’ on then pirate station Radio FG, and later Radio Nova, plus a string of mix CDs on Distance and Respect is Burning, DJ Deep began touring worldwide, spreading his house and techno obsession to audiences craving his deep and unending crates of musical truth. In 2003, DJ Deep launched his labels Deeply Rooted (formerly Deeply Rooted House) and House Music Records, showca- sing true-to-its roots house and techno records and harder to find gems from the likes of Kerri Chandler, L.B. Bad, Terence Fixmer, Mike Dehnert and Roman Poncet, the dream catalogue sealed his music curatorship with timeless records such as Kerri Chandler’s now classic “Back to the Raw”, Ben Klock’s remix of “Pong” by Kerri Chandler and Francois X’s “Code Red” remixed by Marcel Dettmann. Simply relentless in his pursuit, whether digging back or moving ahead of the curve, DJ Deep’s next evolution saw him join forces with Roman Poncet to present Sergie Rezza, an open-minded experimentation with an album out on Desire Records and performance at Berlin Atonal, and also a live techno project Adventice with releases on Berlin’s own Tresor, where they debuted Live at the great Parisian Weather Festival. DJ Deep also continues his solo adventure with his “cuts” released on his own label or under his Rébeval raw house alias out on NYC’s L.I.E.S Records
